Owning one's home is a common aspiration of Hong Kong's middle class. With the mismatch in market demand and supply in the past decade, achieving this dream has never been so distant for many people, including young university graduates.    This talk, delivered in Cantonese, is organized by the Alumni Affairs Sub-committee of Convocation to examine the options available to potential homeowners amid the current market uncertainties and evolving government policies. Mr. Shih Wing Ching, a leading commentator and practitioner from the property sector will be the speaker.
The Speaker    Mr. Shih is the Founder of Centaline Property Agency Limited, one of the largest property agencies in Hong Kong and China, and publisher of the free newspaper, am730. Mr Shih is a popular columnist and commentator on current world issues, and entrepreneurship on both am730 and radio programmes.    Mr Shih is often invited to speak at tertiary institutions on a wide variety of topics, ranging from real estate, philosophy, economics and management, to natural sciences.
Mr Shih is an active participant of various community service and charity work.
