One of Convocation's objectives is to bring HKU, its alumni and the community closer together. Against this background, the coming Convocation Talk, organised by the Alumni Affairs Sub-committee of Convocation, will feature Mr. Arthur Shek, a HKU graduate, speaking to alumni on smart and prudent personal investment and wealth management decisions, against a full range of life objectives.
  
Mr. Arthur Shek is a popular commentator on economic and investment analysis, and is frequently invited to speak at public seminars, radio programmes and forums. He currently hosts a radio programme on investment for Radio Television Hong Kong every Saturday morning.

Mr. Shek is also an accomplished columnist. His writings appear regularly in the Hong Kong Economic Times, the Group's free daily Sky Post, financial weekly iMoney and on the website ET Net. His columns are informative and yet full of humour. Written in easy-to-understand language and style, and illustrated with real-life examples, his viewpoints and commentary are highly valued by investors and general readers alike. He has also written and edited a number of very well-received books on investment, finance and wealth management, which have all become best-sellers. He has previously been named by Financial Times as "the evangelist of financial education".

The talk will be delivered in Cantonese.
